Murray Recreation and Caravan Park Rules

We welcome you to Murray Park and hope you enjoy your stay. To help ensure a safe, enjoyable, and respectful experience for all guests, please take note of the following park rules.


Booking & Payment

  • All fees must be paid in advance. Refunds are at the discretion of the park manager.
  • Check-in is between 2pm and 5pm daily.
  • Check-out is by 10am on the day of departure.
  • Contact hours are 10am to 5pm daily.

Vehicles & Site Use

  • One vehicle per site. Visitor vehicles must remain outside the park area and can be parked in the car park by the oval.
  • A 10km/h speed limit applies throughout the park — this is walking pace — and also applies to bikes and scooters.
  • Caravans and trailers must be positioned with the drawbar facing the road for emergency access.
  • No mechanical repairs or vehicle/caravan/boat washing is permitted in the park. Ask our staff for local businesses who can assist.
  • Sites must be kept tidy. No ground sheets, tarps or carpets are permitted on lawn areas.

Park Etiquette & Behaviour

  • Please be respectful of other guests. Offensive language or behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • All noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm.
  • Murray Park is a dry zone between 10pm and 8am daily.
  • TV, radios, and other devices should be used at a respectful volume.
  • Anyone causing damage to flora, fauna, fixtures or facilities will be asked to leave and held responsible for repair or replacement costs.

Children & Playground Use

  • Children must be supervised at all times.
  • Children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult when using the amenities block and playground.
  • Management accepts no responsibility for unsupervised children.

Campfires & Smoking

  • No personal fires of any kind are permitted at any time.
  • Smoking is not permitted in the amenities, laundry or BBQ areas, in accordance with the Smoke-Free Environment Act 2000.

Waste & Recycling

  • All rubbish must be placed in tied plastic bags and disposed of in the red bins provided.
  • Cans and bottles should be placed in the yellow recycling bins or designated bottle bins.
  • Please leave BBQ and bench areas clean after use.

Laundry & Dishwashing

  • Laundry includes a washing machine, dryer, microwave, toaster and dishwashing sink.
  • Do not wash cooking or eating utensils in the amenities block.
  • Sinks for washing up are provided in the guest laundry.
  • Laundry machines use $1 and $2 coins.
  • Use the clotheslines provided — do not attach ropes to trees, power poles, or other park structures.
  • Please keep laundry facilities clean and tidy, and report any issues to the park manager.
  • Pet blankets and bedding are not to be washed in the park laundry.

Pets

  • Dogs are allowed at the discretion of the park manager.
  • When permitted, dogs must be:
    • On a leash at all times
    • Under control and not left unattended
    • Cleaned up after — droppings must be bagged and placed in red bins
  • Guests who allow their dogs to disturb others may be asked to leave.
  • Pets are not permitted inside park facilities or in laundry sinks.

Bikes & Scooters

  • May only be ridden during daylight hours and on roadways.
  • Helmets must be worn at all times.

Emergency Information

  • The emergency evacuation point is the middle of the oval.
